So, I found this t-shirt from the 1980s fantasy power metal band Manowar (@manowarband_official) in a used clothing store a few days ago. It’s maybe a tad bit offensive by 2025 standards, or maybe kinda Spinal Tappy, but I saw it and immediately thought to buy it for my Unus Mundus (@unus.mundus.um) business partner Randy (@twp716), who is the guitarist for the beercore band Thirsty (@thirsty_tokyohc THIRSTY BANDCAMP). The concept materialized immediately: “Randy, I’ll buy it for you but you have to wear during a live show. Then wash it (please) and give it to another musician who will do the same. And so on, and so on, and so on”. Randy emphatically agreed and even chose the next person in line to adorn themselves with Manowar on stage.
Unus Mundus asks that whomever wears the Manowar shirt….
1) Wear it with pride during your band’s live performance and take a lot of pictures of you performing while wearing the Manowar shirt. Post pictures online and mail some of them, your short bio, who you are sending the shirt to next and information about the show at which the shirt was worn to [email protected].
2) Wash the Manowar shirt using a reasonable detergent of your choice. Fabric softener is optional.
3) Send the Manowar shirt to another musician who will do the same. Keep it going, please.
Let’s send this Manowar shirt on an international journey.
数日前、東京・高田馬場の古着屋で、1980年代のファンタジー・パワーメタルバンド、Manowar（@manowarband_official）のTシャツを見つけた。はスパイナル・タッピーっぽいかもしれませんが、これを見てすぐに、ビールコアバンド、Thirsty（@thirsty_tokyohc THIRSTY BANDCAMP）のギタリストであるビジネスパートナーのランディ(@twp716)に買ってあげようと思った。すると、すぐに以下のアイデアが構成した。
私はランデイに「ランディのため、次のThirstyのライブにて着てくるのために、私がこのTシャツを買う。演奏したら、このTシャツを洗って（お願いだから）、同じことをしてくれる別のミュージシャンにあげてくれてよい。そうやって、どんどん続けていくんだ」を提案した。ランディは強く同意し、ステージ上でManowarを身にまとう次の人物まで選んだ。
Unus MundusはこのManowar Tシャツを着るに貰う方に以下の３つお願いしたいのは
1) 1回バンドのライブでこのTシャツを誇りを持って着て、たくさん写真を撮ってください。写真をオンラインに投稿し、そのうちのいくつかと、簡単なバンドプロフィール、そしてこのTシャツを着用したライブと他のミュージシャン（以下の第3点）の情報を添えて、[email protected]までメールで送ってください。
2) お好みの洗剤でTシャツを洗ってください。柔軟剤は任意に使える。
3) 同じことをしてくれる他のミュージシャンに送ってください。
このManowarのシャツを国際的な旅に送り出しましょう。
