Some of the initial inspiration to create Unus Mundus and do some charitable good for others came from Barney Greenway, the singer of Napalm Death. Randy (head honcho at Unus Mundus) initially met Barney at a Gauze / Los Crudos show at Shinjuku Antiknock in Tokyo and over the years bonded over music, common philosophies and a love of beer. Eventually, this led to Barney participating in a collaborative production with Tokyo Aleworks (https://tokyoaleworks.com), where Randy is the head brewer.
The Napalm Death – Tokyo Aleworks collaboration was initially marketed in Japan in 2020 and is a brutal Imperial Stout that goes down super smooth. Bold, heavy, and yet highly drinkable, would be the best way to describe what the beer they crafted.
Smashing Imperialism, the collaboration beer, is unfortunately no longer in production. However, a t-shirt commemorating this partnership was also produced. Unus Mundus is proud to add this limited production to its lineup.
